What do you do when you’re one of two vegans going to a traditional Thanksgiving with a bunch of omnivores and need a last minute dish to bring so you know you’ll have something to eat?
I bring Sweet Potato Fries with Maple Balsamic Sauce. That’s what I do. They’re super simple to make, travel well, and just about everyone likes sweet potatoes.
Say ! Hola ! to the best vegan chili ever. Now, maybe I haven’t eaten enough vegan chili to say this is the best ever. but it’s definitely the best I’ve had to date, and that includes the samplings at at least a couple vegan chili cook offs. There are two secret ingredients that I think really make this special.
Here are some lovely, happy, thankful vegans! Enjoy & happy holidays!
CALLING ALL VEGANS … NEW VIDEO PROJECT for THANKSGIVING!
Hello there …
I’m THANKFUL to be vegan, how about you??
A few years ago, I made a video of featuring many lovely vegans … It turned out beautifully and I was thrilled and honored to have so many wonderful people take part.
I’d like to do it again … and in time for Thanksgiving! Thanksgiving seems to me like one of the most difficult holidays for vegans. It’s so hard to feel thankful on a day that, ironically, causes so much harm. What I AM grateful for is being vegan … and belonging to the amazing and diverse community of my fellow vegans.
So … Let’s show how thankful we are to be vegan!
Here’s what you do:
1. Be vegan (of course!!).
2. Take a photo of yourself. (A very short, few seconds long video would be nice, too!)
3. SEND IT TO ME … at firstname.lastname@example.org
4. Watch the video! (The video will be available online beginning November 17th … also show it friends and family at your holiday gatherings!)
A suggestion for photos is to pose with a sign that says, “Thankful to be vegan!” … or just, “vegan,” or, “I am vegan.” But use your creativity however you see fit!
DEADLINE TO SUBMIT PHOTOS IS NOVEMBER 15th!!
Here’s the previous video …
Have a happy HAPPY VEGAN THANKSGIVING!
